About Tunde Cole · Teacher · Strategist · Builder

You can be moving forward. And still need more room to choose.

I have spent years teaching, building businesses and wrestling with what it means to create value without losing yourself in the process.

The questions keep returning.

Who am I beyond what I do? What could I build outside the work I depend on? How much of this life am I actually choosing?

These are questions I bring to my own life too. They are why I teach, write, build tools and keep working through the answers.

The thread through the work

More room to choose.
More capacity to act.

Agency is the capacity to make meaningful choices about your life and to act on them.

You can be capable, hardworking and doing well, yet find your choices getting smaller. You cannot afford to leave a job. Your lifestyle takes everything you earn. Other people’s expectations decide what happens next.

Work, borrowing and institutions can be useful, but I care about what happens when our dependence on them quietly starts making our decisions for us.

My work starts with seeing that clearly, then asking what could become stronger: a skill, a financial reserve, a relationship, a sense of who you are beyond your income or role.

Identity is a beginning

What can you do with who you are?

Knowing who you are matters, but so does doing the work to sharpen what you can actually do. What really fascinates me is how raw capacity turns into practical contribution and how that contribution quietly opens up new options for your life.

That doesn’t mean everyone needs to build a company or launch a product. Your contribution might happen through a career, a trade, consulting, creative work, or simply solving complex problems where you already are. You do not have to be an entrepreneur to make a meaningful mark. The real question is simpler: where can you deliver genuine value, and what do you need to master to do it well?

At the end of the day, you rarely discover what you’re capable of by overthinking it; you discover it by putting your hands to work. You try something, see if it helps, learn from what breaks, and refine your craft. Over time, that hands-on effort gives you something far better than potential - it gives you proof.

  1. 01Know who you are.
  2. 02Develop what you can do.
  3. 03Learn to create value.
  4. 04Build margin and ownership.
  5. 05Widen your choices.

How I approach the work

See clearly.
Then put something in motion.

Teaching has taught me to sit with difficult questions, pull ideas apart and find ways to make them understandable. But I have also learned that understanding something is only part of the work. At some point, you have to put the idea to work and see what happens.

  1. 01

    See

    Understand where you are.

Look closely at what is happening. Separate facts from assumptions, responsibilities from expectations and genuine constraints from fear.

  2. 02

    Imagine

    Investigate what could change.

Give yourself permission to consider a different way forward. Not as wishful thinking, but seriously enough to understand what it would require, what it might cost and what could become possible.

  3. 03

    Build

    Strengthen your capacity to choose.

Develop a capability. Make something useful. Build financial breathing room and things you can own. Try ideas at a scale your responsibilities can sustain.

  4. 04

    Learn

    Let evidence change your mind.

Test what you believe against what happens. Keep what works, change direction when you need to and use what you learn to make the next decision better.

Why I build tools

An idea should help you do something.

I want the thinking to reach the decisions in front of you. Tools and frameworks help make hidden constraints visible, test assumptions and understand what a different choice would involve.

The Freedom Check helps you consider where you are. The Runway Calculator puts financial breathing room into months. The Mortgage Freedom Planner lets you explore repayment choices and their assumptions.

Each is a way to bring an idea into your actual circumstances, so you can make a more informed decision.

Faith, responsibility and stewardship

What will you do with the freedom you gain?

My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of this work. I believe life ultimately belongs to God - that our dignity, gifts, and purpose reach far beyond what we earn or achieve, and that we are accountable for how we steward what has been entrusted to us.

That conviction shapes how I view identity, work, and freedom. Greater choice isn’t just about personal ease; it gives us the room to care well for our families, serve others, practice generosity, and build things truly worth the effort.

Not all constraints are meant to be broken. Some need to change, but others are commitments we ought to honor. A family responsibility or a promise kept deserves care. True courage isn’t about ignoring consequences, it is about facing the full weight of a choice, including what it asks of the people around us.

My aim through this work is to help you clearly distinguish responsibility from mere expectation, real risk from fear, and true courage from recklessness.

You do not have to share my faith to benefit from these tools or engage with this work. I will always be transparent about its foundation while making room for honest questions and thoughtful conversation.

Still learning

Conviction.
And a willingness to be corrected.

I have experience worth sharing and questions still worth working through. I teach what I have learned, and I remain open to letting experience, evidence, Scripture and deeper understanding correct my perspective.

I will distinguish what I have experienced, what the evidence supports and what I am still testing. When something does not work, that belongs in the story too.

Tunde Cole Network

I am building a body of work.
One useful part at a time.

What is taking shape now

Tunde Cole Network brings together the wider work I am building: teaching, writing, practical tools, frameworks and conversations about how we work, build, make decisions and create more room to choose.

The Anchored is the Christian formation expression within that wider work, while Tunde Cole Media supports it through media and storytelling.

What I want it to become

Over time, I want it to grow into education, resources, products, gatherings and businesses that help people develop their capabilities and widen their choices.

But those are things to build towards. Each part needs to prove useful before I ask anyone to give it their time or money.

Start with the life in front of you

You do not have to solve everything today.

Begin by understanding where you are. Look at your work, your money, your relationships and the responsibilities you carry. Find what needs your attention first.
